About CCO's Technical Assistance Tools


Available to registered customers and partners, CCO's technical assistance applications provide real-time access to Cisco's vast technical knowledge base, allowing you to get online answers to technical questions and manage cases with the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Following is a summary of the online tools available on CCO:

Technical Assistance Center Case Tools
Interact directly with Cisco's Technical Assistance Center (TAC) through three separtate tools: Case Open lets you request technical assistance by opening a Case with the TAC; Case Query allows you to check the status of Cases you have opened with the TAC; and Case Update lets you send your own notes to a Case you have opened with the TAC.
Open Forum
Pose your networking questions here. This interactive tool provides database searches for quick answers to technical questions. And you can send more difficult questions directly to the Open Forum, to be answered by a team of Cisco and industry experts who will notify you with an automated e-mail once your questions has been answered.
Troubleshooting Engine
Resolve a variety of common networking problems using an intuitive Web interface. This tool supports a wide variety of network protocols, Cisco platforms and WAN protocols, and specializes in the areas of hardware, configuration and performance.
Stack Decoder
Analyze a stack trace (from 'show stack') on Cisco router platforms and receive a comprehensive set of diagnostic results, including hardware failures and candidate software defects.
IP Subnet Calculation & Design
This tool provides a method for calculating IP subnet and address information that is fast, easy, and error-free. Doing these calculations manually can be time-consuming and is susceptible to common mathematical mistakes.
Bug Toolkit
CCO's popular bug searching tools. The Bug Navigators search for known software bugs based on software version, feature set and keywords; the resulting matrix shows when each bug was integrated, or fixed. Bug Alerts allows you to create a profile of your internetwork environment and receive notification of new bugs via e-mail or fax.
Service Order Status Agent
Get the status of a Cisco Service Order based on your Service Order Number, PO/Reference Number, or TAC Case Number
